Production area:Manciano, Toscana
Type of land:Hilly with light slope. The soil is gravely, rich in limestone, and low in organic matter, of medium grain size, well balanced in nutrients.
Vineyard:Area: ha 4.20, density of the vines: 4.000/ha, training system: low spur pruned cordon.
Grapes:Sangiovese 85%, Syrah 15%.
Vinification system:Skin contact for about 14 days and repeated assembling, in little stainless steel tanks of 5000 litres.
Refining method:6 months in Slavonia oak 25 hl and 750 l barrel, then 4 months in the bottles.
